How it works
How it works
Stress Relief 2 is based on a Chinese herbal formula called Jia Wei Xiao Yao San, used to treat stress-induced behavioural disorders characterised by irritability and/or aggression.
This formula has anxiolytic effects and has been shown to relieve panic attacks, anticipatory anxiety and agoraphobia.
Traditional understanding
In TCM, stress impacts on the Liver, which impacts on the smooth flow of the body's physiology. When Qi (energy) is stagnant, heat is easily generated, and signs of inflammation or irritability arise. The digestive system is usually affected also, and flow-on affects can also be seen in the skin and eyes.
