Liver Detox

Liver Detox is based on a Chinese herbal formula called Long Dan Xie Gan Tang, used to clear infections or inflammations by improving the body’s ability to detoxify, increasing urination and cooling areas of heat, itchiness, mucous-production, etc.

Demonstrated pharmacological effects include antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, immunostimulant, antiallergic and hypotensive. Human clinical studies and research have seen positive results in the treatment of hypertension, hepatitis, cholecystitis, gastritis, urinary tract infections, mastitis and otitis media.

Traditional Understanding

Traditionally, this is a formula to clear excess ‘fire’ and ‘damp-heat’ from the Liver and Gallbladder. Damp-heat conditions are likely to develop in pets receiving insufficient exercise, overeating a diet of highly processed dry food, or in those under chronic stress, or exposed to chemicals and toxins.
