-
How it works
Energy Restore is based on a Chinese herbal formula called Liu Jun Zi Tang, used to improve energy levels through optimising digestive function.
Pharmacological effects of the formula include regulatory and gastroprotective effects on the gastrointestinal tract. Human clinical studies and research have demonstrated positive results in the treatment of abdominal pain, gastritis, indigestion, duodenal ulcers and chronic bronchitis.
The formula is particularly useful when vomiting and diarrhoea are occurring as side-effects of chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
Traditional understanding
In TCM, if the digestive function is weak, it is often said that there is not enough 'fire in the belly'. A lack of 'digestive fire' means that foods are poorly digested, and excess fluids accumulate in the digestive tract. These fluids condense to form 'dampness', or thick fluids which lead to symptoms such as fatigue, heaviness, loose stools and a cloudiness of the mind.
