How it works
Coat Tonic is based on a Chinese herbal formula called Qi Bao Mei Ran Dan, used to improve hair quality. The formula name translates to “Seven-Treasure Special Pill for Beautiful Whiskers”, reflecting its initial use in the treatment of premature greying of hair and facial hair.
Coat Tonic may aid in the management of alopecia (hair loss), and is suitable for poor coat condition in a variety of animals.
The primary ingredient, Fallopia multiflora has demonstrated anti-aging, immunostimulant, hypocholesterolemic and laxative effects, and regulatory effects on both adrenal hormones and blood sugar levels. Animal studies show that Fallopia multiflora helps to stimulate resting hair follicles and increase the number and size of hair follicles as well as the number of hairs produced in each growth phase. Fallopia multiflora may also help lower levels of the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone implicated in the age-related atrophy of hair follicles, and raise the levels of melanin, a skin and hair pigment.
